All about KeeKru Creations
KeeKru Creations
Business Experience: KeeKru Creations started at the beginning of the pandemic as an Etsy Shop. Since then, I've sold items all across the world and have received all 5 Star reviews. I love the feeling of making something for someone else and am a maker at heart!
Classroom Experience: It's crazy to me that I've been in the classroom for 15 years now!! I run the FCCLA club at our school and before I had kids, I was the Costume Director and loved coaching freshmen volleyball. My first experience in education started in when I was 13 and took a babysitter course through my local hospital. Since then, I've worked with students of all ages but now spend my days teaching High School Family and Consumer Sciences. Over the years I've taught Consumer Ed, Child Development, Preschool, Parenting and Lifespan Development. The past decade I've really settled into the Culinary Arts and Fashion and have grown both programs at my school.

Own Education History: Both of my parents were high school teachers and all three of their children eventually became high school teachers too. Not only is teaching in my blood, but my dad taught at my very small high school and I think this gave me an interesting perspective into the teaching world. I was president of student council from 8th grade through senior year, played softball and volleyball through varsity and was a peer helper as well. There was only one stoplight in my town so it kept me busy and I remember those days fondly!
Social Media History: When the pandemic hit, everyone was talking about masks and couldn't find any. I ended up sewing a bunch and creating a pattern for a toddler mask because my daughter kept ripping hers off. I started an Etsy Shop and in order to market that, I started making TikToks. While scrolling away, I discovered Teacher TikTok and kept thinking of things I wanted to create and post about. I asked my admin for permission to post since all my students were still on zoom and it's been a wonderful journey. It's hard to believe that over 100,000 people are invested enough to follow me and so this is now a space where I can share some of my teacher creations! TikTok is so much more than dancing so get logged in and follow me at KeeKruCreations!
